Through her work with clients striving for large weight loss and fitness goals something she kept hearing over and over again was, “There are no clothes for my size that make me feel confident, feminine, and sexy.” “I’m losing weight, and I’m happy about that, but I can’t afford to buy new gear every time I go down a size.” and “I want Lululemon on a Target budget!”

She saw a hole, a need, in our community that wasn’t being met, and in typical Angela fashion, she set out to fill it herself. Enter Goddess Fit, a fitness clothing brand for all sizes, shapes, AND budgets! Based right here in Jeff City!
From day one Goddess Fit was a family, and a community, business. Angela’s dad has been her silent rock and cheerleader, her sister in law designed her logo, her brother is her business manager, her mom sews the labels on each piece, she held focus groups with women from the community to hear their needs, she worked with other local (female!) business owners to source her product, and when the day came, it was her mom that sewed in all the tags.

Why the name Goddess Fit?
It took me quite some time to come up with a name that exudes beautiful woman, strong, feminine, heart. I wanted something that celebrated every stage of a woman’s life. Who doesn’t want to feel like a goddess? Whether your clothes just fit well, or whether you feel fit. For me, Goddess Fit encompasses all of that.
What about Jefferson City makes it the right fit for Goddess Fit?
Small town simplicity. There’s no façade, it’s not super showy, but it’s classic. My looks are timeless just like this city.
What’s your number one Jefferson City fitness activity to recommend to out of towners? Biking? Running the Capitol steps? Downtown fitness mile?

Which is your favorite piece from this first collection?
Our classic t-shirt, The Butter T. It’s soft like butt-uh. It literally feels like I’m not wearing a shirt.

Where do you see Goddess Fit in 5 years?
I’m trying to build this legacy of women having every resource they can in their life journey, and of course that means being healthy. I want Goddess Fit to become a trusted source for Jefferson City women to go to. I’d like to develop different tiers and branches of the brand as community demand develops. What I really want is for Goddess Fit to be known, to become a household name in Jefferson City and beyond!
